This past year has been another busy time for GIN and, as always, we are
indebted to our distinguished Patrons for their support of the charity and the
enhancement they bring to its standing with the public.
Thanks to the very generous and kind donations from our supporters, donors
and followers we have been able to offer funding (veterinary/boarding/
transport) which enabled 479 galgos and 89 greyhounds to be rescued,
transported and adopted in the UK and Europe in the last year. These are
numbers we hope to increase in the coming year.
It’s hard to believe that just over a year ago Carolyn retired as General
Manager after more than 20 years, although we prefer to think of her as not
having retired but just on a long lead which is still attached to the office!!
We are very grateful to her for lending an extra pair of hands in the office.
Tracey has taken over as general manager and is doing a wonderful job even if
she has said “it has been challenging at times but wouldn’t change it for the
world”. We are also grateful to her for all her hard work and know that GIN
remains in good hands”.
Maria joined the office team in March as Administrative Assistant and has
settled in really well and become a valued member of GIN.
Thank you very much.
“Adopting a galgo won’t change the world but for that galgo, the world
will change”.
