us info@greyhoundsinneed.co.uk and we will put them in the

Our November galgos were adopted quite quickly, more news on
their adoptions on pages 8-10. At the time of going to print with
the newsletter we haven’t finalised a date for our next group to
arrive but it won’t be long! Please keep checking our site and FB for
news. If you are interested in adopting a galgo please have a look on our site
and complete the homing questionnaire and we will get back to you.

Sue, Lynda and Mark continue to help with the homing and are looking forward
to the arrival of the next group. Sue has kindly put together some tips for
potential galgo adopters—please see pages 10-14.

Working on the newsletter is always a time for looking back at our work and
reporting on the last six months giving updates on projects and news. This
newsletter is no exception, especially as the charity is celebrating 25 years of
      helping greyhounds and galgos.

I joined GIN back in January 1999, just offering help to Anne with typing up
a newsletter and find it hard to think that was 24 years ago! I knew very little
about greyhounds back then, other than they raced, and I had never heard of
a galgo, I know a bit more now.

I have decided to retire later this year and wanted to take this opportunity
to give a big THANK YOU to you, our volunteers and supporters, for the
amazing support you have given GIN and me over so many years. Many of you
have become good friends always there offering help when needed and I have
      appreciated this very much.

I have been pleased and proud to be involved with GIN and see the charity
grow from such humble beginnings and I’m glad that the work will continue with
      the great team we have.

I would like to give a personal thank you to Tracey and Geraldine for all the
help they have given me. I have many happy memories of our time together
in the GIN office and I’m pleased that soon new staff and volunteers will be
      joining them.

Again, thank you all for your wonderful support and I hope you enjoy reading
this newsletter and catch up on our work over the last six months.
