We have recently
offered funding
for the veterinary
costs for a galga,
Bimba, who
arrived at the
Galgos en Familia
shelter with a very
prominent limp of
her front right leg.

They took her for
X-rays and she was
seen by the trauma Photos: Galgos en Familia
specialist. He said
that she had an old fracture and she was in pain and so needed an operation
called osteosynthesis, which is a surgical procedure that stabilizes and joins
the ends of the broken bones using a metal plate and screws.

We were pleased to be able to help fund veterinary costs for some more
galgos rescued by RECAL in Almendralejo. They have found lovely homes in
France and Belgium.
