Trustees’ pages

Dear Friends,

I would firstly like to thank Martin for writing so many Trustee Pages.
The Trustees will now be taking turns and I somehow drew the short
straw to take the first turn.

From the early part of 2020 times became different and very
difficult. Huge thanks must go to our loyal HQ staff, Carolyn and
Tracey. They took turns each working one day at home and alone at
the office the following day. It is not easy to carry out your normal
role from two bases when you are used to having everything to hand
under one roof. They have done a remarkable job and I am sure they
are relieved to be back at the office
working together.

In June we were finally able to bring Tokio
into the UK the first group of Galgos
this year followed by another group in
July, this time from Galgos del Sol.

We are lucky to have found some
kennels where the care is nothing short
of a five star hotel service. The staff
go above and beyond ensuring all is well.
The dogs all have a bath to keep them
looking their best for visitors and Mike
potential adopters.

Homing is going very well despite it
taking longer to process applications
due to restrictions of the pandemic.
It is amazing how the interest in Galgos
has increased since the outbreak of
Covid 19. We have a large list of people
showing possible interest in adopting
a Galgo. Tyko

Like all charities we have suffered a
dip in regular donations, but our
Summer Raffle was very successful
thanks to our loyal supporters.
