We have had some nice Mediterranean
comments from parents diseases
who have been downloading
some children’s activities
from our site during lockdown.
We included a couple of pages in
our last newsletter for your children, grandchildren to complete and were
pleased to receive some completed sheets back. We include a Christmas page
in this newsletter (page 15) which you may like to give to your children,
grandchildren. All completed pages returned to us by 12th December will
receive a prize in time for Christmas.
It has been strange for us not having any events to organise this year, we
had lots of plans at the beginning of the year but events were postponed.
We now look forward to next year when we hope things will be better for
everyone.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank many of our supporters who
came up with different ways to help fundraise. Some grew plants in their
gardens to sell to neighbours, some put items on eBay to sell to raise funds
and many of you supported our appeal for food donations for the galgos in
Spain, raising nearly £4,000. We were therefore able to offer this help to
Galgos del Sol, Galgos en Familia, Arca de Noe and SOS Galgos.
We mentioned in our last newsletter about an event at Buscot Park but this
has been postponed now until next year. Please keep looking at our website
and Facebook pages as we will post on there news of events as and when these
are booked.
We enclose our latest merchandise catalogue and hope you will take a look and
find some gifts for you and your four legged friends, We have more items
and some limited stock items on line https://greyhoundsinneed.co.uk/eshop/
It just remains for me to say a very big THANK YOU to all of you, our
supporters and volunteers, without the support you have given us over the
years, especially this last year, we would not have been able to achieve what
we have for the lovely greyhounds and galgos.
Please take care, keep safe and hopefully soon life will get
back to normal for us all. I wish you, your families and your
dogs a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
