We seem to be very unlucky when we try to organise a walk at Hollingworth Lake.
We had to cancel in the summer because, unbelievably, the weather would have
been too hot for both the dogs and their owners due to the lack of shade around
     the Lake.

Hopefully we will be able to arrange a walk once life returns to some kind of
     normality.

Until now, I have always been able to let you know the dates of our planned
Fundraisers in Cleveleys in the Spring edition of this Newsletter. Very
optimistically I booked two dates with the local Council in May and September.
I doubt very much that the Social Distancing restrictions will have been lifted

by 9 May but I am keeping my fingers crossed for 12 September.

The street collections in Cleveleys, on the Fylde coast, are two of our most
important fundraising events now that we have reduced the number of events
that we organise during the year. Many of our volunteers look forward to their
visits to the seaside and we are always recognised and made welcome by the
residents and visitors to the town.

We ourselves are hoping that our annual holiday to Cornwall will go ahead in July.
We are looking forward to meeting up with the other greyhounds, galgos and
podencos who enjoyed exploring the wonderful Cornish countryside with us last
     year.

To finish on a positive and optimistic note, I am always amazed by the generous
response that we receive when we have asked you to help out your fellow dog
     owners.

Thank you Jackie and Phil who fostered Pippa when her mum, Sue, broke her ankle
just before Christmas and many thanks also to Anne and George who have
supported Chris with his best friend Mack.

Together I am sure that we can come through these difficult next few months.
Enjoy the time you are able to spend with your dogs and we look forward to
seeing you again later in the summer.

     Stay safe
