Enjoying the sun in Italy thanks to GACI

Our Trustee, Christine, is working with ADANA in Badajoz to put together a
leaflet which will help promote the education programme in their area. They
are keen to raise awareness of the plight of animals and offer ways that people
can help. This leaflet will be produced quarterly and we hope that it can be
adapted to help other shelters.

We also support them with some funding for veterinary and transport costs
for galgos they rescue who are mostly homed in Italy. We also offer funding
for legal costs incurred in bringing cruelty cases to court.

We are also lucky that Eva and Jorge,
two volunteers at ADANA, who have
their own transport company are able to
transport our galgos from Spain to the
kennels here in the UK. We are so
pleased to have “galgo experts”
transporting our precious galgos and
know they are very well cared for on
their long journey. Details of our new
group, arriving soon on pages 14-16.

Calling all knitters ……….!

GIN has received a kind donation of wool which would
make wonderful knitted coats for the galgos in Spain
when the winter weather gets going. There were
terrible snowstorms in Spain last winter and winters
in many areas are very cold. If you would be able to
knit a coat/s for the shivering skinny galgos, we can
send the wool out to you, please give us a call on
