Our Work Abroad
Galgos at Arca de
Noe, Albacete

We have been pleased that transportations over recent months have been able
to go ahead again. Arca de Noe in Albacete have been busy preparing dogs
for homing in France, Italy and Slovenia. The adoption groups abroad, like us,
have been receiving many home offers for the dogs over the last year.
We have supported Arca de Noe for many years now and the pandemic has
sadly affected the plans we, and the shelter, have had for new projects. We
are now looking again at various proposals for improvements to the shelter to
benefit the dogs and also to help encourage more volunteers to the shelter and
we hope to be able to give more news on these projects in our next newsletter.
The education programme has also
been affected by the school
closures but Jisseth has managed
to visit Academia Teresa, a summer
school to talk to the youngsters
about the galgos and looking after
them.
Jisseth said there were 2 groups.

years and the older ones aged from
12 to 15 years approx. The youngsters were all very interested and Coco, the
galgo, behaved beautifully with them and they all loved him.
What a great idea to have an annual
animal fundraising day in schools
each year.
