TRIBUTES
                                                              TRIBUTES

        February 2024
Dear Tobi – How difficult it was to say ‘Goodbye’.
No matter how long you lived here or how old you
were – letting you go was so very hard. However, I
had to think only of you and your quality of life and not
be selfish in wanting you to live for more years yet.
You came here in 2017 and joined Billy, Cleo, Arthur
and Ella and in the years since, you have seen
companions come and go. Your happy disposition
meant you were good friends with each and every one of the other hounds. You weren’t the
most handsome boy but your wonky eyes and long whiskers made you all the more
endearing…despite you wiping your wet chin all over my clothes! You did frustrate me when I
tried to take a picture of you as you always had your head down or your eyes shut! Still I have
all those memories in your photos. You loved watching TV and your favourite programmes
were The Super Vet, The Yorkshire vet and an advert where chickens came right up to the
screen! Despite your size, you thought of yourself as a ‘lap dog’ trying to climb on my lap
rather than in a dog bed.
Dear Boy – I hope your life here with us was a far cry from your time in Spain and that you
enjoyed your years here with me your ‘Mum’ and your other canine pals. Rest in peace Tobi!

        Love from Diane
         Ruby
We were sad to hear to hear from Pamela in Scotland
that she had to say goodbye to Ruby so soon after Lily (left) and
         losing Lily last year. Ruby
Pamela wrote that Ruby passed away in her arms on
the 1 of March this year at the age of 14 years. She
            st
had adopted her when she was only 2 years old and
thanked GIN for giving her the opportunity to have
loved and enjoyed the joy of sharing the
         lives of such wonderful creatures.
