TRIBUTES

                                        TRIBUTES

                                                                                      Hi everyone
I am sorry to be the bearer
of sad news but I had to say
                                       ‘Goodbye’ to my dear galga
                                       Layla on 13 June. She
                                       joined us in October 2017
at the age of seven years
and was just short of her
14th birthday when she left us. Her appetite had deteriorated over
the last couple of months and it became difficult to know with what to tempt her. One day
chicken would be ‘flavour of the month’ but the next day it would be out of favour. I tried my
best to find things to whet her appetite but it became increasingly more difficult with the result
that she began losing weight. She was such a terrified soul from her early
life experience in Spain, that she never came for a walk but enjoyed
running around in the garden - this became pottering about, as her strength
deteriorated but she still seemed to enjoy the fresh air. However her weight
loss meant she was less agile and she was prone to falling down especially
when she had to step into the back door. Independent girl that she was,
any help from me resulted in screams of ‘I can do it myself thank you’.
Eventually she became very weak and the kindest thing was to let her go - she drifted away
peacefully at the vets as though she was just sleeping. Rest in Peace my dear Layla.
          Love from Diane xx

Zeth It is with great sadness that we are letting
you know we had to say goodbye to our beloved
Zeth on the 10th of May. He died peacefully in our
daughters’ arms after a short battle with a rare and
aggressive form of lung cancer. The whole family
is feeling lost without him. He taught us so much
and made us more patient and understanding as
          people.
He was the most gentle, affectionate and intuitive
boy, but he most certainly had a cheeky side! He
had a look that said “I know exactly what you want
me to do, so how are you going to make it worth
my while?”. He loved his walks and learning new
tricks, but his favourite things to do were
sunbathing in the garden or snuggled on his sofa
with his humans and his cats. He was very
photogenic but hated his photo being taken. He has left a Zeth shaped paw print firmly on all
of our hearts. We will always be grateful for the opportunity to be Zeth’s people for the last 9
          years.
Mike, Ali and the rest of the Bussey family.
