News Update
Dear Friends,
It is hard to believe we are coming to the end of another year and I am
pleased to say that I am writing this newsletter in the office again. It has
been a strange year for all of us. We spent half of the year taking it in turns
to go the office and the rest of the time working from home. In July we
re-opened the office and it has been nice to get back to a routine again and we
have been very busy catching up on everything.
I would like to take the opportunity here of thanking you all for your kind
words and support and your patience as everything seems to have taken a lot
longer to do over recent months. We hope this newsletter brings you all up to
date with what we have been doing as well as giving a glimpse into our plans for
the future.
We would like to thank all involved for once
again supporting our summer raffle which, with
tickets and linked donations, brought in around
£6,600.
Our Trustee, Geraldine Jones, and her galgo,
Jake, kindly drew the winning tickets for us -
1st Prize - £1,000 - Mrs Taylor, Yorkshire
2nd Prize – £500 - Mrs Nobes, Lancashire
3rd Prize - £100 - Mr De Feyter,Cheshire
There were also runner up prizes to entries
from Sussex, Berkshire and London.
We have often been asked by supporters why we don’t organise a Christmas
Raffle. We have been talking about this recently and as we have just had
another year with no fundraising events we have decided to organise one this
year and include details on page 18. The ticket price is £2 and the prize will
be a Luxury Hamper. We hope we can count on your support.
We will be sending out our usual membership
renewal letters in early December but renewals
for 2022 can be made now by completing the
form on page 24.
The money raised from memberships,
donations, fundraising, merchandise sales, and
our sponsorship scheme enables us to continue
and expand our work.
