Liz Mason took her galgos Sol and Dena along to Cleveleys Town Centre in Blackpool where Sue, Phil, Carol and their dogs had organized a Fundraising and raising awareness day for GIN - they raised £498.70!
Phil, Sue, Carol, dogs and supporters at the "Hair and Hounds" event at Wolstanton, Staffs. The salon's owner kindly  invited us to bring our hounds along to the Salon for a day and  generously donated the customer takings on that day to GIN !   along with sales of wonderful home made cakes and refreshments plus the takings on the tombola and sales of home made dog treats, a fantastic £683.11 was raised!

9th Jan 2010 Welsh walk Saturday dog walk at Conwy in North Wales. The walk has been organised by Adele who organised a very successful walk on the beach around this time last year. The plan is to meet at the Beacon Car park, off Beacons Way, which is near tothe main A55 at 11am. The nearest post code address is LL32 8GU which is the Mulberry Pub. 14th Mar 2010 Awareness Day Sunday March 14th, Mother's Day, GIN volunteers will be fundraising and awareness raising at the Ashton Pets at Home store from 11am to 4pm.
The store is situated at Unit 2a, Snipe Way, Snipe Retail Park, Ashton under Lyne, OL7 0DN, close to Junction 23 of the M60.

4th April 2010 Awareness Day 11am - 4pm Greyhound Awareness Day - Easter Sunday Brereton Heath Nature Reserve. CW12 3SU Davenport Lane, just South of the A54, half way between Congleton and Holmes Chapel.
Come and have a pleasant stroll and learn about greyhounds.
Tombola, dog beds, dog gifts and plants for sale.
Refreshments and toilets on site.

18th April 2010 Dog walk and treasure hunt

GIN volunteers, together with their friends from the North West Branch of the RGT are organising a SOCIAL DOG WALK and TREASURE HUNT in Delamere Forest, Cheshire, from 10am to 3pm on Sunday April 18th.
Walkers will leave from the Linmere Lodge Visitors Centre, in Delamere Forest, CW8 2JD at regular intervals. Cafe, car parking and toilets are available.

FUN DOG SHOW AND SPRING FANCY DRESS EVENT
Weavervale Garden Centre, Winnington Lane, Northwich, Cheshire CW8 4EE have very kindly invited GIN to organise a Fun Dog Show to celebrate the expansion of their Pet Department. There will be a special prize for the best Fancy Dress which celebrates the arrival of Spring.
GIN volunteers will be fundraising and awareness raising from 11am to 4pm. The Dog Show will take place from 12 noon.
