Greyhounds in Need Social Dog Walk

Description

This walk, approximately 4½ miles long, should take around 2-2½ hours at a leisurely pace.  It covers a diverse area, mostly of woodland, affording shade if the day is hot. There are several water stops for the dogs to enjoy. There are footbridges over the streams along the route and it is unlikely to be muddy unless we have just had heavy rain. Please choose appropriate footwear.

Please respect other users of the forest, especially horses and horse riders and maintain control of your dog. Dogs are supposed to be on leads walking through some enclosures.

Directions

Take the A338 from Ringwood towards Fordingbridge.  Turn right off the A338 at the sign for The Red Shoot Inn and The High Corner Inn, towards Moyles Court.  Just follow the brown signs for The Red Shoot Inn, with the car park for APPLESLADE on the right about ¼ mile before the Inn

There should be plenty of space but it may well be busy with other dog walkers and family groups so please take care entering and leaving the car park.

A donation of £2.00 per person to Greyhounds in Need can be payable to Sue North before the start of the walk.

All dogs must be kept under the control and supervision of their owners.  All dogs attend this event at their owner's risk and while every care will be taken, Greyhounds in Need accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property while at this event.  Sore feet and paws included!
