Paul with a nervous Duende at Malaga airport

July Transportations

Josephine, Nadine and Chris from Greyhounds Rescue Belgium have been busy flying to Malaga this month to collect Misty, Aristida, Galifa, Orejitas, Romano, Santos , Leon , Duende, Arisca and Adonis.  We are all grateful to Brussels Airlines for making it possible for them to be flown to Brussels to start their new life.

These galgos were initially rescued by Saskia and Juan at the Villamartin refuge in Cadiz , they carry out initial veterinary care before transporting them to April and Paul’s kennels in Rota, Cadiz .

April and Paul have many years of dog training experience which helps enormously when dealing with some of the behaviour issues that the galgos have.  Some of the galgos we are able to help are very timid, traumatised and need time to gain in confidence and learn to trust people again.  We appreciate very much the time and effort April and Paul put in with the galgos which in turn helps Josephine and Greyhounds Rescue Belgium find the right homes for them.

Here you can see some of the latest arrivals in Belgium
